Alexandria Beautification Award

3001 Park Center has been selected as the Alexandria Beautification Award winner for 2011. Earlier this year, the Alexandria Beautification Commission members toured Alexandria and judged on the following criteria: visibility from the public right of way; plant colors, textures and forms, maintenance, proportion; landscaping accents and elements; relationship and enhancement to the neighborhood; and noticeable improvement. The Alexandria Beautification Commission represents citizen values, facilitates community projects, promulgates best practices, and recognizes important achievements in order to improve the appearance and experience of the City of Alexandria. Erkiletian is awarded membership by the U.S. Green Building Council, the nations foremost coalition of leaders working to transform the way buildings and communities are designed, built and operated, enabling an environmentally and socially responsible, healthy, and prosperous environment that improves the quality of life.

Erkiletian receives the Architectural Woodwork Institute Award of Excellence in Lobby Renovations at the Renaissance Hotel. The award honors the architect/designer for design of product, the owners support of the design concept, and the architectural woodwork manufacturer for the faithful execution of the design and quality criteria.

Erkiletian receives the Youth For Tomorrow Hall of Fame Sponsor honor for the companys financial contribution made in support of Youth For Tomorrow, a residential home and school for at-risk adolescent boys. Contributions to Youth For Tomorrow provide the resources necessary to deliver a program of residential care, counseling, substance abuse education and aftercare, as well as an on-campus special education academic program for grades 912. The Youth For Tomorrow program promotes physical, academic and spiritual growth in a challenging and constructive environment.
